Managing an embedded voicemail system

Mxe 3300 9.0.0.41 ( embedded voicemail)
site has some apartments that are to be used for short term accomadation ( 2-3 mths max). each apartment has an analog ext with a voicemail box.
Is there a management feature to reset a mailbox to new via the admin or manager mailbox?
I can delete a mailbox via the phone but cant recreate it ?
the edit options only allow changing of pin numbers , ext number etc.
What i want is to reset the mailbox back so that the next person to access the voicemail from it gets asked to set it up.

hospitality voicemail option and pms integration does this. you might be able to cluge up a solution if you know the pms codes but the option is purchasable.

if you are able to utilize hospitality (voicemail) you are good to go. Set your (extension) as Front Desk Mailbox and you can check in or out the mailbox easily. Remeber the mailbox does not clear on a check out. It clears when you check it in for the new user. This is done so messages are not lost after check out and can be recoveed up uintil you check in the new user.

The Hotel options a well and good but they wont satisfy all of your asks.

A guest mailbox is required. Guest mailboxes can only be accessed directly from the associated extension or with the manual assistance of a front desk mailbox user.

Also A guest mailbox will not prompt a user to "Set it up" Greetings, Names, and passcodes are optional.

To satisfy your request, your Mitel System Provider can set you up with Web Access to delete and re-create the mailboxes. With rel 9.0 they have the ability to restrict your access to specific forms to avoid potential issues.

It is a big problem that you can not recreate a mailbox !
Why is it made like this ?
If you delete a mailbox and you should not have done that then you have a problem

It can be recreated through the web interface , but not through the phone . I agree , its silly to have one without the other.

The 3300 Embedded mail has always been so. It has something to do with how the DB is accessed and stored. If you ask loud enough they will probably change it, but don't be surprised if they remove the ability to delete instead of allowing create.
