I have changed my laptop and so upgraded from windows 2000 to XP sp2.

I can connect to remote systems, using ISDN dial up I can read the config. However when I try to write the config back, it times out.

Points to note
1) windows firewall and anti-virus are turned off
2) passwords not default (i.e we have to enter password to retrieve config)
3) Other pcs in our office can fully access these systems
4) LAN access works OK
5) Broadcast or targetted (using IP address of system) makes no difference

Any ideas?

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

YOu might need to go a set further than turning off windows firewall in the control panel.
Try going to administrative tool/services on your pc and disable windows firewall. I have had to do this for voicemail.

I've had this happen to me. First thing I did that helped for a little bit was clear the alarm log in Monitor. After I cleared it, it worked for a day.

Then I just did a hard reboot on the IP Office. Has worked ever since.

Superjenks - All versions, multiple platforms, multiple sites

fshaw - Good point! I've disabled (and stopped) the firewall service, but it made no difference

h382 - I don't think it is system related, I have this behaviour with all our remote sites

I've run an ethereal trace, and it plainly shows that when I write back to system, I don't see a packet acknowledgment back, so something is blocking the i/c ack packet. The difficulty is finding what!
