Manager program won't open

Just upgraded an ip office R5 500v1 to a 500v2 R8.1.73, with voicemail pro. I can open System Monitor, System Status, voicemail all opens and works. The system works properly, but I can't open Manager. It sees the IP Office but it says that it's loading then times out. Any thought?

It comes back with "can't communicate with IP Office" or something like that.

Turn off secure comms and ensure you're in the same address range

Thanks for the responses. Your inputs are always appreciated. Just got back from the site and after testing the LAN ports and cables, I installed manager release 9, thinking the one I had downloaded to the server was corrupt. Well even with the new manager installed I still could not open it. Then I noticed the little red shield at the bottom of the tool bar that tells you that your firewall is turned off well it wasn't there. To make a long story short, turned off the firewall and now manager works.
