We have a customer who has been having issues with Manager Procedures on their WS5As, when trying to run it from within POS software, it takes a massive amount of time to actually open up. This only occurs on WS5As with SSDs, running POS Ready 7. I'm able to replicate it on our internal testing environment, and I've tried messing with settings seemingly everywhere. I've changed SuperFetch, increased paging, disabled as much Windows appearance stuff as possible, and it still takes upwards of a minute to actually start. I put a WS5A with CF and Windows CE onto the network as well and Manager Procedures starts up within seconds, almost as quickly as it does when running it on the server itself. I was going to start Performance Monitor on both workstations, but getting perfmon (or something similar) onto the workstation with CE seems like it'd be a pain in the ass, and perfmon on the SSD workstation doesn't seem to show anything particularly funny going on. I'm really close to chalking this up to how CF works vs SSD, but that doesn't make any sense at all. SSDs through SATA should be way faster than CF, even if it's directly connected to the motherboard.
Have any of you had issues with Manager Procedures opening too slowly? What could I be missing here...
