Hi
I have a customer with HiPath 3800 running V8. The manager used to be able to run Manager C from her XP PC but has been upgraded to Win 7 Enterprise & is unable to use it. The connection is via a USB to her Optipoint 500 standard phone. My vendor says no problem install the latest version of software & updated drivers. I go to site, get the Admin privleges set the correct com port, choose USB in Manager C & try connecting. The connection just times out after 4 minutes with no down load of KDS. It is a bit like connecting with a serial port at the wrong baud rate. I have changed compatability but no change. The connection to the phone is good as I can choose the Modem mode & dial from the phone. My vendor has gone quiet on this but I feel I am missing something basic here. I got the USB drivers from Callbridge latest version & even installed the tapi but no change.Any help appreciated.

Check the windows firewall and make sure you add the .exe file of Manager C under exceptions if it's not already there. If the firewall isn't running that may not be the issue.

Thank you donb01
I have the firewall & anti virus disabled but still no joy. My vendor will assist me tomorrow but seems as perplexed as I am. I feel that I am missing something stupid here.

Are you also running one of those total internet security suites that might need to have that application whitelisted to leave it alone?
