In SQL Server 2005 Management Studio -- how do you get your servers to stay listed and connected when you close and reopen Mgmt Studio.

In 2000, when you registered a server, no matter when you opened or closed enterprise manager, you could see the list of your servers you had registered.

How do you get that feature in 2K5? When I use Connect DAtabase Engine" and select my server, as soon as I close the application, the next time I open I must connect again... is there a way to avoid this.

From SSMS click on the view menu option. The select registered servers. This will open the a window on the top left. Register your servers in there.

You want to register the servers, not just connect to them in the Object Explorer.

Thanks for the info... my brain has been asleep this week and I knew I was missing something easy.

Thanks again
