I don't know if this is the right place to ask but here it is anyway....

I am currently using superscan to get an ip map of my network, the head office is using sms to get a better overall view of the network but i find that the sms information i get is often wrong. Is there any (free) tool to get basic information on the workstation present in my network, information like processor speed, amount of ram, OS Version.

Any and every help will be appreciated.
 
After some digging i found something that works great. I'll share it just in case.

A little (less than 2Mb) freeware called NEWT does the trick. List machine name, Ip adress, CPU, CPU type, MHZ, UP time, User name, OS and a few other things.
