Hello,

I am looking for a server management software that will notify me via E-mail if a hard drive fails or a hard drive is full. Is there software out there that will do this?

Thanks

You can do it with WMI. You need to use a permanent event consumer.

Get yourself a copy of the following book. Please reference my review of the book which lists a correction to the text that I got from the author, it applies to your need.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

I am looking more towards an "out of the box" solution - Microsoft Operations Manager is to cumbersome.

Any ideas?

If you have Dell Servers you can use IT Assistant and Open Manage Server Administrator.

I currently use that as well as SolarWinds Orion Preformance Monitor which uses SNMP
