The data provided by the management console is very similar to the info provided by the DSTX SNMP agent.
So you need some kind of SNMP management tool to poll the SNMP agent for information - we use Sitescope to do this, it's able to create graphs, send out alerts etc. We can monitor init pending, adapter and map failures etc.
The SNMP agent is additional software that you need to install , but its easy to set up and configure.
