In the old days, using the AT scheduler and the WINAT graphical interface, it was easy to remotely manage scheduled tasks on networked NT servers and workstations from another NT workstation.
Can this be done using the IE5 introduced Task Scheduler?
I know of an alternative solution, a little program called Tight VNC
You install a copy onto your servers and all of your workstations and have them always running in the background, on the "Control PC" you can type in the IP Address of one of your servers and it will show the desktop of the Server on your PC, from there you can control your Server as if you was sitting right in front of it.
We use it at work to troubleshoot user problems on our IT support helpdesk, you could control the Schedules remotely from home I beleive or at any of your workstations
Hi,
You can use task Schedular i have face some problmes but after troublesgooting my problems are solved and AT command works perfectly for my NTbackup on remote servers and its works perfectly for starting and stooping the services on remote machines as per your timings specifications. And lotmore u can do remotely without any third party software. According to me You can use AT or WINAT without any problems. just do some practice how to use and it works properly.
