Manage Membership on Server

I've just moved to a new job and am taking responsibility for a couple of systems. My problem is relating that I can't find a way to manage the membership of these systems.

I can do it on my local version but not on the versions deployed to the development or live servers.

I'm relatively experienced with some areas of ASP.NET but new to 2.0 and have done very little with forms based security.

Help would be really appreciated.
