Mambo & XMB, syncing 2 MySQLs

This is prob. easy, but seeing that I am somewhat of a newb, anything is difficult for me..

I am runing Mambo for my website, and XMB for my forum, and I would like to make a script that registers the user in the forum when they register with the site, and create the sessions when they are logged in..

I havent the slightest idea where to start. I am hoping not to make both DBs one, but if I have to...
