Greetings,

I've been trying to run a macro via task scheduler on a 32 bit vista pc with Access 2007.
Tried using a batch file and also a .mam shortcut. Both "work" however the application itself does not close and therefore the task can not run again as scheduled.
if I insert a QUIT (exit) entry into the macro I receive a windows error after the macro runs that says "windows cannot find 'path to the shortcut' make sure you typed the name correctly...etc" but the app closes however the task still can not run because the error window is waiting for input (hitting the OK button).
If I don't use the QUIT command in the macro then Access stays open.
This is rather frustrating.
Has anyone tried this and figured out a work around or can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Not sure why a shortcut would fail but a thought of something to try... Write a batch file to open the database and schedule the batch file...

Something like...

Code:
<Path>MSACCESS.EXE <PATH And File of database>
Exit

Of course in the example above you should substitute your own values for things inside of <>.
