Malformed licenses

Hi guys,

We have a corrupted SD card and replaced to a new one and re-create.

But when we inserted the new SD card, I can see licenses are malformed except for the virtual licenses.

I removed the affected licenses and then re-added but no joy. I also tried to restart the IP office but still no joy.

The IP office version is 6.0. Any solutions guys?

Licenses are assigned to a FK ID which is specific to the SD card, not the hardware chassis, so when you swap SD cards the original licenses are invalid. 6.0 uses ADI licensing, and without IPOSS I don't think Avaya would move the licenses to a new SD card. You'll probably have to get a BP involved to run a quote to upgrade the system and move to PLDS licensing.

It's funny, they were requiring the cards back when doing ADI to a new SD with ADI, but with PLDS, we've never been asked for the old card back.

I don't have any issues changing SD card on version 11 but for version 6.0, seems this is not just changing a new SD card?

Since ADI is no longer available is the next option for this is to upgrade the system to version 11?

Yes.
If the hardware is still supported.
It can be cheaper to order a new system, as you may get a discount. Also you may need some other new licenses, but some of the existing are not needed anymore. It depends on the situation.
