Malaysian Office Cannot Merge Arcserve6.5 Tape Under Arcserve6.61

They have tried numerous tapes and consistently get a timeout - reading error. They have no problem with tapes made after the upgrade to 6.61. Older and newer tapes were created on the same backup hardware. Any ideas? TIA.

Tried scanning the tape ( through utilities - scan ), did it show any information ??
