Hello everyone,
I have a two hard drive system. I have Win 98 on my master harddrive and Win2000 pro on my slave. I switch between them using the BIOS screen at start-up. I know it's a bit clunky but it works. The problem is that Win 98 sees the second hard drive as a CDrom in explorer. Even when you right-click the drive and look at its properties win98 thinks its a CDrom. I think the problem may be due to Win 98 not being able to read the NTFS file system on the Win2000 hard drive. The questions are :-
1. How can I get Win 98 to see the second hard drive as a hard drive.
2. If I cant do this I want to remove the second hard drive. When I tried this by disconnecting the IDE cable and power to it, the computer still seems to be looking for the second hard drive. Is there a BIOS setting I need to change ?
Help me coneheads !!
