making use of non existant directory names

I don't know if this is even possible, but any help will be appreciated!

does anyone know if its possible to make use of directory names that don't actually exist? for example..

http://www.google.com/nonexistanturl/

would it be possible for google to make use of this url even though the directory name does not exist?

In what way would google want to "make use of" an non-existant folder. Do you want to hide a particular URL?

Please put into context you usage of the term "make use of". Search engines don't link broken links so a consistently unavailable URL should not show up.
