making the speed dial feature work 3

Okay John i programmed the key. However when i try to program a number it is not working. I leave the handset in the cradle push the Speed dial button and it flashes. i type in number one (first access code) and then the four digit extension to dial then i press the speed dial button again. when i pick up the reciever and press speed dial and then the number 1 nothing happens. what am i doing wrong?

how big is the speed call list? If it is for 10 numbers only, what you are doing will work.....if it is for 10-100 numbers, you will need to do as hawks said.
