I use Crystal 8.5, and I've created a number of 'templates' with various settings, including being Landscape. For each new report, I open one of these and then use 'Save As' to get something I can develope.
Crystal takes the orientation of the default printer on your PC. So if you change your default printer properties to landscape (temporarily) your new reports should start in landscapte.
