I am trying to make the height of a field in a report change to be the height of a value of another field. I want to show the depth of soil graphically. We are storing information about the depth of different layers of soils found when digging wells. I want each row of the report to represent the depth of the soil i.e if the depth of the first soil type is 1 metre deep I want the first row to be 1cm high and the depth of the second soil type is 1.5 metres I want the second row to be 1.5cm high and so on. The depths are not always increasing they usually are 0.5,3,1.5,6,3 etc

Does this make sence??

Can this be done?

yes, ... but ...

That is why MS nade the chart applet. Use a stacked bar and all will be well. It will even proportion the bar segments and CAN be 'tricked' into labeling the various soil 'types'
