I am using Photoshop 6, and have a picture with smoke emitting from a cigar. I wanted to either blend in or morph a picture of a woman in the cigar smoke. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make some good smoke effects for this project? Thanks in advance for any help.

hi,

a very simple solution would be to insert the picture of the girl on a new layer. then you edit it until it fits the smoke more or less (deleting surrounding pixel information, so that you don't have a square picture), give it a transparant edgeing....then just blend it into the layer below (with the smoke) with the layer options. that should work...depends on the picture though.

Thanks for the tips guys, that helped a lot. Another quick question relating to smoke, what is a good way to make some fire effects? I was thinking along the lines of long, somewhat wicked flames. Maybe even being able to wrap it around an image such as a ball. Again, thanks in advance for any help.
