I have been trying to create an instance where you can mouse over a button causing another button to scroll out beside it. Then you can choose either button which will send you to a different scene in the movie.

THE problem is that when I make the movie clip > place the buttons inside the clip> and try to assign go and play (Scene name) actions to each instance of the button the "scene" area is not accesable.

Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Set up the movie clip with the two buttons in it and make them do what you want, then put them into a frame on the main scene, copy and paste the frame into a frame just before it, and create a button which you want to roll the mouse over that looks identical to the first frame of the movie file. Then go to button actions and put: on rollover goto frame 2. Put a stop in each frame and this code in each button of the movie file at the end: on release goto (_level0) <makes it go back to the main line> frame 3, or whatever you like.
If you want more of these buttons you will have to make lots of frames dedicated to each button - you'll find it!
