making pcAnywhere window transfer faster?

Hi All,

we are using pcAnywhere 9.2.0 here, over 100MBit LAN.

It takes 2 seconds, to update 1200x1600 65K colors window.

Can I change the properties of host so, that the palette is reduced to 256 colors before transmittion? Or speed up transfer in other way?

PC anywhere is slow period.
I do not think you can dynamically change the remote site host location, but change the machine you are running PC anywhere on to 256 and drop the res. May help. You will have to pan though,\.

I am not too familiar with PC anywhere but maybe this will help.

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately, I can't reduce resolution/colors, because of SCADA running there.
