Hi,
A sweet person answered my question "help with terminal on OS X"...thanks "norm02 (Visitor)"....now i was wondering if it is possible for me to make other super users on the same machine i have logged on....ie, I am the administrator of the machine, and want others to be super users on the same machine where they can change what they want on that machine...i guess soemhtng like the Windows permissions options- have their own desktop themes, permissions and such stuff...
Would someone help me !?
Thanks again to whoever answered me once and will answer me again!

Hello again Zeta!

On any system there can be only one SuperUser(Root) account. Unless you want to share the Root acount by giving others the password(usually NOT a good idea), the next best thing you can do is to set up their accounts as Admin. accounts. This is done using SystemPreferences/Users on your toolbar, be sure and check the "allow user to administrate this computer" box under the
password tab. This gives the user 90% of the abilities that the Root user has. They can add and delete other users, ect. from the GUI. At the terminal, Admin. users may assume temporary Root status by typing " sudo" before a command.

As far as addressing Desktop themes and file permmissions, ordinary accounts(non-Admin) have complete control over these for their own accounts. They cannot, however, make changes to the accounts of others .

hope this helps,

Norm
