making new styles

Anyone have any idea how to edit or make your own style in photoshop?

Just to be clear, I am not talking about layering styles, but the style tab next to the swatches and color tab.

I know you can define brush, define patterns, but is it possible to define style?

*just curious cuz I know it is possible in illustrator 10*
