making my flash movie know where its located

hello to you all!

I've been looking for a way to make my movie know where it's located because I need to execute some programs, but flash requires the exact address, therefore I need that the movie knows where it is so it will execute everything correctly.

_root.thistarget=_target

in any frame will set a variable ('thistarget') on the main timeline giving the route to that frame.
