Hello Sirs;

This is my first message in this forum,sorry for my english is not very good.

We have a exchange 2003 server on a windows 2003 server machine.

Our database limit is on 25 Gb and we are now on 23 Gb, we want to make a backup of the Mailboxes.

We want to backup them to .pst archives and save all the emais by year.

we want to have one pst for each year.

This installation is a migration from Exchange 5.5 server, and I am having problems with the making the .pst of the user that was migrated form the old server.

On the new ones there is no problem, but with the others we I try to make the pst, the computer only create a pst archive with 165kb and doesn´t backup nothing.

What can be the problem??? what can we do????

I hope that you can understand what is the problem.

Thank you for all

You can use the EXMERGE utility to export all user mailboxes to PSTs. Unfortunately, there isn't any way to export messages according to their date. EXMERGE only takes an entire mailbox and exports to PST.

To make separate PSTs by date, you would need to create a separate Personal Folder for each year in Outlook. The you could move all messages to these Personal Folders based on their date. Then you would export each Personal Folder to a PST. A lot of work, but it will give you the result you are looking for.

Exmerge allows you to specify date ranges to export mail.
