Making intranet links unavailable to those outside a firewall

I have a State gov. internet web that lists a link to an intranet site. Anyone outside the firewall will not be able to navigate to the intranet and it is inappropriate to leave it as a broken link according to agency standards.

I need server side code for Unix that will allow the paragraph that includes the link to display on machines inside the firewall but NOT to those outside the firewall.

Thanks for any help

Generate your page using perl/CGI
if the $ENV{'REMOTE_ADDR'} variable is not inside your allowed ranges, don't print the link to the browser

Hope that helps
Paul
