Hi,

When we split window with Gantt chart on top and resource view below (or vice versa), clicking on the top window causes a filter/shortlist on the below window. Is there any way to stop this?

What I want to do is (for big mpp's), adjust task dependencies and priorities such that that optimal resource allocation for all resources. So what I want is both Gant chart and resource usage in full view i.e. not filter/shortlist views in the bottom view if a row is selected in top view (if you know what I mean).

Is there a way to do this?

regards.

Hi Proj12,

A combination view (horizontal split) is always a filtered view in the lower pane. Have you experimented with showing multiple windows?

In Project 2010: View tab : New Window command

In Project 2007 and earlier: Window menu: New Window.

Then use the arrange all command or tile as needed.

I hope this helps.

Julie
