I have been trying to make a form with a submit button on it with DREAMWEAVER. My ISP's server(NT 4..._vti_log sub dir NO cgi-bin) and my SMTP server are different.
My Goal: a form for a loan company so applicants can fill out an app and have it mailed to a loan officer. IF I make the form's action MAILTO:KLANIOUS@NETWORKDOGSINC.COM I get a message from IE5.5 saying (basically) it's not a secure e-mail. What I want to do is have the form submit and NOT get that message. I have tried several programs (formmail.pl and CGIMAIL.EXE) with negative results.
I do know that when these type of forms are used with FRONTPAGE 2000 (which I also have but don't like to use) a SHTML.DLL file is used for processing the form BUT I have NO experience with using that method.
What can I do to accomplish my goal (fill out form and have it e-mailed to a loan officer)? What does, if anything, my ISP have to do? Is there a file I can load onto my FTP site to accomplish this?
