Does anybody know how to make a Flash banner load after the HTML page has loaded? They always seem to load first in priority, and then the page appears afterwards (obviously, this is only a problem on the first viewing, before it's cached).

This way the viewer would be reading the page while the banner is loading up.

Perhaps I'm in the wrong forum with this one?

Thanks in adavnce...

How about loading the banner on a higher layer/division, invisible to start with, and only appearing after a delay, through a Timeout event?

I guess you could do that oldnewbie, but the trouble is that the connection speed is variable, whereas the time delay would be fixed.

The best solution would probably rely on the banner being told the page had loaded, though I don't know how you would do that.

Failing that though, your solution would certainly work.

Thanks again...

My understanding is that a "body onLoad event" only fires up when the html is fully loaded... Worth a try?

Now we're talking...

I'll try that later - thanks!
