I want to place a swf file in dreamweaver and make it get url when it is clicked. This must be simple but I am having problems. Please advise. Thanks Richard

Making entire movie clip to be a link

I have solved this problem by makeing an invisible button wich has the sizes of your movie...adjust it's alpha to 0 and add an geturl action with the link you want.

Thanks, I will try that and let you know. I had tried an invisable layer and could not get that to work. Richard

If you set a filled rectangle (the size of the movie clip, the object or the whole stage), just put it in the hit state, and leave the other states clear. You then don't need to set the alpha value to 0, and you will still be able to position this invisible button, because it will appear semi-transparent when on stage and selected, but will not appear on the output.
