Greetings All,
Here we go :)
I've a customer with a cable modem and a linksys router. The router is setup so it forwards any packets destin for the WAN IP address to an inside host on the private network(Under advanced settings DMZ host of the Linksys router). They have a Windows 2000 machine running a dynamic DNS program that detects the external WAN IP address and reports it to a DNS server to "Automagicly" change the A and MX records for this server when this WAN address changes. Works great. Now they are going to a CISCO 1720 with a WIC-1ADSL card. I know how to do NAT, Port forwarding, IP Forwarding... etc... but how would you make the traffic bound for the WAN interface forward to the internal server??? Any Thoughts???
Tks,
Mike

If you know how to do NAT and PAT, then you should know your answer. Setup your NAT for the interface instead of specifying an IP address.
