I have a database of which there are many forms which i would like to fit to the size of my monitor. I have tried putting the docmd.maximise control on the open form property but everytime i close a form it shrinks down to its original size. Any help on this would be grateful.

The following artice on MVPS.org explains how to create an API function to maximize the Access application window:
If you create a macro called AutoExec and call the API function, it will maximize the window when you open the DB.
