Hi iam really interested in making a door intercom full deplux which works without cable.
i have developed a door intercom using 4 inch speaker at main gate with LM386 on the door side and KA2410 on the hand set side. This intercom works on 4 wires , and uses 18 volts.
Now how i can make it cordless. Any experince person out there..

im not sure exactly but my alarm system has a wireless link set up. they put a box on the door and a box on the wall. then the installer just hooked a transmitter up in the basement. jeff moss

Your problem could end up being the power source.
You say right now you are using 18 volts. You will have to get it to work on maybe a 9 volt battery, and then you have to keep the power consumption low so the battery will last.

You need a transmitter and reciver that will operate on 18 volts. Compare it to a walkie talkie or baby monitor type setup. They both operate at 9 volts, but some wireless survalance systems operate at 18 volts. They are both audio and video.
Good Luck!!
