I have a control button that shows information only when something occurs. This is almost like having a task and all of the sudden it is over due. I want the control button's label to flash a certain color.

I have a query that either returns data (when task is overdue) or returns no data. I would like to do a lookup to the query and when the query has data the label should start flashing a certain color.

How can I get started?

Access Command Buttons has not changeable backclor property. You can change fontcolor instead.
Or
You will have to use a label control.
Also you can use Microsoft forms CommandButton control.
INSERT > ACTIVEX CONTROLS >
see thread702-1042217 and attched sample thread702-1028049
