I have a database which is linked with severall other documents (Word documents mailnly) which all require the database to be called a certain name and in a certain folder in order for them to work.

I am in the process of burning the database and components onto CD to issue to people in my office to use. Is there a way that the database and components can be turned into an .exe file so that it will install itself in the certain folder etc.

Any help will be great

You would need the Office Development Kit to distribute the system as a setup.exe assuming you wish to send out the Runtime as well.

If you just want to send the mdb file and various docs you could get away with a commercial installation creater such as Wise Or InstallSheild.

Remember if you are distributing to existing full access application users you may have to distribute and register and controls you may have used (References Section).

Hope this helps.

See website for more info but we can develop most things for most people.

The distribution of Access application can very fast turn into a real nightmare. In general, the standard assistant "Package and Deployment Wizard" is only working properly with extremely simple applications. As soon as you got some special functions or different files it fails on a regular basis. There is a lot of background information about this problem on the website of Univeral Soft ( there is even a way to integrate the Word and other files into the database file.
