Making all attributes editable

I am trying to edit a html web page in dreamweaver. At first I was editing just fine. Then everytime I try to view the webpage on the internet. I get an error message stating

You have made changes to a code not marked as editable.

Then they keep going back to when I did not make the change.

So, how can i make an entire web page editable.
