Pretty simple question. If I make a copy of a workflow in the same folder and rename it during the copy process, does it make copies of the dependent worklets, sessions, and mappings as well? Or do I have to independently make copies of those as well?

Thanks,

No. Copying Workflows does not create copies of the components. Anyway, why would you want that anyway?

To make a backup copy of the current workflow in that particular environment since another version of it is being migrated in. This is a working version while the new one has some enhancements so I don't want to lose the working version completely. Also, unfortunately the previous developer did not always develop in our DEV environment and test in QA, so there's some uncertainty with some of the sessions involved over which ones are the same and which ones are different.

This would be why I would prefer to have a copy of the pre-existing working workflow that doesn't get overwritten. Is there a way to do this easily?

Just right-click on workflow and select duplicate...

*slapping my head* I can't believe I missed that option. So that will make an exact, separate copy of my workflow and all it's dependencies?

P.S. What the heck are you doing up at this hour? =D
