If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it.
I need to make a flyer in a table format with description of a product and the price. They gave me the info on paper so I have to make the table and I'd like to know how to type in the info (with tabs, or spaces) so that it's aligned. So far, the alignment is jagged on the right because some text is longer than other. I already set my text box where I want it but now the prob. is alignment. It's supposed to be something like this:

Purple hat 11.99
Crocodite boots 160.99
Hat with matching purse 250.00

I hope I explained myself.
Thanks in advance.

Did you actually insert a table in ID?

If not, draw a big text box with the cursor inside and chose Insert Table from Table menu.

After you've done that set it up vis Table Option on Table menu.

To format text, etc, select approprite cells by dragging over them and use Cell Options on Table menu

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Never use spaces to align text!

Use tabs or create a table as defined in the manual.

Thanks for the help. What I was doing (which was wrong) was trying to do it in a text box and aligning with tabs, and my tab settings weren't helping. I had never used the Table Menu, but it was much easier typing directly in the cells.

I have one more question/doubt for future table making

Do I have to do the insertion marker settings(comma, paragraph) every time I want to make a table from existing text? even if the text is somewhat aligned in a table format?

Thanks again
