Making a Menu

I've only aquired a general knowledge of HTML, and I'm not deep enough to do anything outside of basic. This kind of got me, I hope you guys know how to help me.

I need to create a menu in my page when the user hovers over it, it drops down a list of my menu items.
Basically, that's it. Like I said, I'm no expert and Would appreciate any input here.
