IS it possible to create a *.exe frontend without vbase... through access? or am I asking alot of that problem... (would be more efficient having a frontend on each computer then running the actual database from server)....

1. Link all tables to the front end, using UNC for paths(not mapped drives)
2. Convert the front-end to mde
3. Copy the front-end to each client computer
4. Install Access run-time on client computers
5. Start the front end from a batch that calls the /runtime switch of Access.

Or, for steps 3-5, buy a Developer edition and use the Packaging wizard to create installation kits for the application.

Exe is NOT possible with Access.
