makeing a "flashy" menu

I am a beginner in Flash5 and i want to impress my boss by makeing a very good design for his website.
Please help me by giving me some tips or anything that could help me.
I want it to look like the one in
 
Why not contact the webdeveloper at that company and ask if he would send you his fla, a sample, or point you to a tutorial. Most Flash developers are willing to share at some level. eSearing.com

Like everything else you need to spend some time getting to know the software. The site you metion above is using 'movie clips, masking' etc, all of which you will pick up in time.

My advice would be to seek out some tutorials on the above and just play loads with them till you start to understand how flash works. You could do the above with the very basics of flash but only when you know what to do to create each FX.

It can be quite frustrating, especially when you want to do it now but I'm afraid you will need some time just playing with Flash, when you get used to it and your knowledge of it increases, your imagination is your only limit.
