System is Access 2003 in a front end / back end configuration.

The data in several tables is to updated on a daily basis through several make table queries from a read only SQL server.

I create relationships with the tables created by the make tables queries, and the next day the make table queries cannot run as Access requires that the relationship be deleted before the make table query can proceed.

How can I go around this?

Any help would be appreciated.

How about using a delete query followed by an append query rather than a make table query? Unless you have a great many records, this will be quite fast. Make sure that you run the queries in the correct order if you have referential integrity set up.

That is a great suggestion..exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks!!!

Also, make table queries bloat the size of an Access database.
