Hi everyone,

I have to enable support for USB ISDN adapter on my RedHat 8 box.

I read everywhere that I should run

make menuconfig

but it does not seems to start at all.

I have installed all kernel support at installation time, Make, gcc etc..

What must I do?

Thank you

Kappler

To be more specific i get the following message

No rule to make target 'menuconfig'

which makes me think that it is expecting some other instruction after

make menuconfig

Please help!

Thank you

You have to execute this command in kernel source directory (you have it installed, don't you?). It is probably /usr/src/linux-2.4, so cd to it and try again. And try to read some information about kernel compilation, too... from README to HOWTOs etc.

Thanks a lot

Now I it started
I read a lot about but I seem to have not noticed where to start it from.

I am already at 'make dep' right now with no glithes.

Cheers

Kappler
