I want to create an MDE version of my Access 2000 MDB. But the MDE choice on my Database Utilities is greyed out.

All other choices are accessible. I have also checked and compiled my VBA code and trawled almost everywhere to see if I've unchecked a box somewhere. No joy.

Suggestions, please.

I'm just winging it here . . but in the back of my mind I seem to recall that a default Access install doesn't load certain tools and wizards. Maybe try a reload and drill down through the options to make sure you are loading everything you want. - - - -
