Hell,

I'm trying to just make an icon show in the header of a form. In the forms properties I changed the icon property to the icon I wan to show & it shows at hte top of the form. When I run the app the icon is not correct. Can anyone point me in teh right direcion? Do I need a imagelist now to do something this simple?

Thanks.

Hi Corrinne,

Not sure why this is happening, but no you don't need an ImageList to show an icon in a form. When you select the form's Icon Property in the Properties list in Design View, if you click the elipsis button you can navigate to where the image is contained. This should always show as long as your app can find the path to the image.

By default, I always create an "Images" folder in my Project folder so I can keep em close by.

Maybe you have the images in a shared network drive that is disconnected when your app runs? A very wild guess but the only thing I can think of at the moment.

Or maybe there is some code that reassigns the "old" Icon.

...if it works dont mess with it

Or maybe your icon file doesn't have the correct size/color icon for a header icon. Remember, the header bar icon is only 16x16 @ 16 colors.
