I have created a Photoshop image that I started with a 25 pixel grid that all objects in the image are aligned to. At the end of it I actually decided I like the grid as part of the visible artwork. I realize it is not that much work to go ahead and draw straight lines on top of all the grid lines but it got me thinking...is there a way to actually just convert the grid so it is part of the flattened artwork? For example if I want to save the image as a .tiff to be opened in other graphics programs that wouldn't display the photoshop grid. If it isn't possible (which I can't see that it is) I think it would be a good option to have.

Hi,

Make a new document size 25 x 25 pixels and then draw a 1 pixel line at the top going left to right and then another line on the left side going from top to bottom:
_
| like that but without the space where they meet, then Select All (Ctrl+A) goto EDIT > DEFINE PATTERN, then make a new layer and goto EDIT > FILL (choose pattern) and then choose that pattern that you made in the little dropdown and preserve transparency then that will tile your pattern across your image giving you the grid.

Of course you can alternatively show the grid, hit print screen and then open a new document (the sizes will be correct) then paste and the grid will now be part of that image, you won't be able to edit that image though unless you go back to the other psd file and then make changes, and then re-apply the grid using print screen.

Hope this helps!
