Is there anyway to make a form open maximized covering the whole screen and not display any toolbars?

Hello:
On your FormOpen event, use the following code:
'
DoCmd.Maximize.
'
Regards
Mark

If you always want the form to open without any toolbars, most of that can be done in the Form properties, format tab.

How are ya krnsmartazz . . .

The answer is [blue]No![/blue] . . . You can maximize but [blue]not covering menu/toolbars.[/blue]

Don't despair . . . what you want can be achieved by disabling all menu/toolbars . . . however there's a danger here! . . . with all menu/toolbars disabled you could'nt even use [blue]Ctrl + F11[/blue] to get yourself back on track!.

[blue]Your thoughts?[/blue]

My answer is YES

Try setting these

Border Style = Dialog
PopUp = Yes
Modal = Yes

Code:
Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
DoCmd.Maximize
End Sub

Point taken (I intended to post the same), however this [blue]limits opening other forms on top unless they're also popup[/blue].

Either way this may be what [blue]krnsmartazz [/blue] is looking for . . .

It is possible to have one form that is sized just to cover the menus and toolbars at the top of the screen (set as popup) and then have a second larger form immediately below it to cover the rest of the screen.

You'd have to mess about reading the user's screen resolution in order to size and place the forms correctly though.

To be honest I think it's all more trouble than it's worth. I normally settle for turning all menus and toolbars off (other than those I have created myself) and leave the Access application titlebar where it is.
