I have a client that has a Partner ACS and Partner Messenging and is using the auto attendant to answer all their calls first. They have a receptionist at ext. 10 and if someone selects 0 or 10 in AA, she can answer.

She is not always at her desk and would like ext's 14 and 25 to ring at the same time so they could answer these calls too. The setup of the office makes it difficult to hear whether ext. 10 is ringing or not, so a simple call pickup will not work.

Is there any way to just make ext 10, 14 and 25 ring simultaneously if someone selects 0 or 10 from AA? Thank you in advance.

You could put extensions 10, 14, and 25 into calling group 2 (# 502) and have the 0 out go to group 72, however it would ring until somebody picks up, callers would not get voicemail.

How about aa analog cordless phone (or headset) plugged into the AUX port of ext 10. When she leaves her desk she could take the cordless with her.

The calling group option looks like a good one, I might give that a try if they can live with no voice mail on extension 10. She already has a headset, but if she is occupied or in the bathroom or something, they need the calls covered. Thanks guys!

After the calls goes to group 72 won't it return to ext.10 if no one picks it up in the group.

Make a mailbox 72, "with a phone", and keep the transfer return extension setting (#306) for each of the voice mail ports pointed to themselves. The call will return to mailbox 72 (adjust the return time with Transfer Return Rings, #105). Make mailbox 72 be a phantom sender to the Receptionist's mailbox, or the General mailbox.

OR, mailbox 72 is assigned to Auto Atendant No. 2, with a different greeting so the caller gets a 2nd chance to dial an extension or 0 out, but doesn't get mad that the same auto attendant answered.

I have a system installed in a busy medical office. There are 7 phones at the front reception area. When a call comes in to the office it goes into the auto attendant. When a caller presses a selector code for the front area they are transfered to 72 (ext10,11,12,13,14,15,16) if all the receptionist are busy the call returns to 10 and rings until the person at 10 picks it up.This has caused a little bit of a problem.this phone is considered the hot seat because the person at this phone works the hardest.there is no voicemail on any of these extensions. We don't want patients leaving messages on these phones.
What is the best way to handle this situation so calls will go back to all the other phones or continue to ring at 72 without going back to 10.

Change the transfer return extension settings for the VM ports to 10, and calls transferred from the AA to a calling group will not return, but ring until answered or abandoned.

So I will change all 4 voicemal ports return extension to 10.Is this because 10 does not have a mailbox and now all calls that are sent to group 72 will continue to ring all the phones in the group.Just want to make sure I understand. Thanks,Mike

Yes, even if 10 has a mailbox, there is some interaction with transfers by an extension that has its transfer return extension changed and calling groups.

How about setting the other stations on "Delayed Ring". I have a call center that does this. When the Recp. is away the supervisors sets ring after the delay time is met. If not answer if goes to voice mail.

"I have a client that has a Partner ACS and Partner Messenging and is using the auto attendant to answer all their calls first."

That works if they answe live, but not in the OP's senario.
